Four locations in Fayette County (graphic above) have opened for registered voters to cast their ballots for every office from president to coroner.
Below is a sample ballot for every office to be voted on — with one caveat.
Particularly for candidates in state senate and state house of representatives slots, you will get to vote only for those candidates that represent your district. The same holds true for Fayette Board of Education and County Commission seats — except for one at-large post for school board and commission, which will be noted in the ballot below.
Also on everybody’s ballot are three state-wide referenda questions. One will determine whether a special Georgia Tax Court will be created to have concurrent (at the same time) jurisdiction with the state’s superior court judges. The other two have to do with property tax questions: One asks whether the state constitution should allow limiting property tax increases, and sets a way for local governments to opt out of that limiting provision. The other questions asks whether voters want to raise the tangible personal property tax exemption to $20,000 from its current $7,500 level limit.
Her’s that sample ballot:
I applied for absentee ballot, was accepted, when does it arrive?
You can track at the MyVoter page. Once you enter the basic info you can scroll down and see the status of your ballot; i.e. When is was sent out and when it was received back.
– Note I dropped off applications 3 weeks applied for me and my 2 sons off at college on 9/24 and so far we have only received 2 of the ballots. Thus I re-applied for my other son.
