Peachtree City police have asked local citizens for help in locating and apprehending two men and a woman who were seen committing criminal activity at three different locations in the city.

Information was posted July 13 to the department’s Facebook page with security camera photos of the suspects as well as the car they were driving.

According to an online statement from police, a male and a female entered Newks on Line Creek Road June 30 around 1 p.m. They lingered around the soft drink machine and appeared to be looking at people in the dining room. After a few minutes, they moved to a section of tables and one of them dropped a jacket and slid a patron’s purse in their direction. The female then reached down and removed the wallet.

A few minutes later, the same female and a different male entered Lululemon at The Avenue, where they used the victim’s credit card to purchase more than $5,000 worth of merchandise and store gift cards. They also attempted a $511 purchase at the nearby Walmart, police said.

They were seen driving a silver Mazda SUV with Texas license plates. The vehicle was a rental and the license number was SWN8688.

Anyone who can provide information that would help police close this case is asked to contact Det. M. Taylor at mtaylor@peachtree-city.org.
