Friday’s Walmart shooter taken into custody

Around 2:19 a.m. on April 3, Fayetteville Police concluded their search for 19-year-old Adrian Jelks, who was wanted for murder and other related charges stemming from Friday’s shooting at 125 Pavilion Parkway, Walmart.

Jelks was taken into custody by a Fayetteville officer without incident after turning himself in to the College Park Police Department.

“We appreciate the community’s patience as our department worked diligently to locate Jelks. Although Jelks has been arrested, further details cannot be released, as the integrity of the investigation is of the utmost importance. Thankfully, the nine-year-old shooting victim is expected to make a full recovery and has been released from the hospital,” police said.

      • So, dark skin is somehow antithetical to being good? When you have a megaphone, I guess you don’t need a dog whistle.

        • The new poster Strike3 could be implying that a tanned individual isn’t likely to be a good guy…..or Strike3 could be using sarcasm with an eye roll, that isn’t picked up easily, to sarcastically say “surely a ‘tan’ person couldn’t be a good guy, *wink wink*. Either way – STF you don’t know and I don’t know, so for you to imply you know his/her politiical affiliation is making a lot of assumptions based on a lot of details you don’t know. Might want to reserve your judgement a bit.
