Fayetteville Police diligently continue their search for 19-year-old Adrian Jelks, a Walmart employee, who is now wanted for murder and aggravated assault in connection with the Friday shooting incident inside the Walmart store entryway.

Police said 19-year-old Antavius Holton of Riverdale, GA, succumbed to injuries received as a result of the shooting. A stray bullet incidentally struck a 9-year-old female juvenile. The juvenile’s injuries have been determined to be non-life-threatening.

In addition, 19-year-old Sandra Romero-Nunez of Fayetteville, Ga., has been transported to the Fayette County Jail, pending warrants for party to a crime for the offenses of murder and aggravated assault.

“We ask anyone with information concerning the incident or Jelks’s whereabouts to contact the Fayetteville Police Department at 770-461-4357,” police said. Jelks is assumed to be armed.

Police received a “shots fired” call around 10 p.m. Friday. Officers arrived on the scene approximately one minute later, and the suspect had already fled the scene in a vehicle. That vehicle was located and was abandoned. Multiple agencies are involved in the search for the suspect.
