Fayetteville Police diligently continue their search for 19-year-old Adrian Jelks, a Walmart employee, who is now wanted for murder and aggravated assault in connection with the Friday shooting incident inside the Walmart store entryway.
Police said 19-year-old Antavius Holton of Riverdale, GA, succumbed to injuries received as a result of the shooting. A stray bullet incidentally struck a 9-year-old female juvenile. The juvenile’s injuries have been determined to be non-life-threatening.
In addition, 19-year-old Sandra Romero-Nunez of Fayetteville, Ga., has been transported to the Fayette County Jail, pending warrants for party to a crime for the offenses of murder and aggravated assault.
“We ask anyone with information concerning the incident or Jelks’s whereabouts to contact the Fayetteville Police Department at 770-461-4357,” police said. Jelks is assumed to be armed.
Police received a “shots fired” call around 10 p.m. Friday. Officers arrived on the scene approximately one minute later, and the suspect had already fled the scene in a vehicle. That vehicle was located and was abandoned. Multiple agencies are involved in the search for the suspect.
Should have built a border around No.Faye’ yrs.ago.
I expect that no amount of gun control would have prevented this murder…probably a stolen gun that was hidden from parents at home…if he lived at home…do these people have homes?
You would suspect right. Gun control only controls law abiding people. These kids are mentally unstable, out of control and more than likely under the influence of (entertainment) & a variety of pharmaceuticals deigned to create mental zombies. But facts don’t fit agendas.
I wish this weren’t in my backyard. It’s surprising that Fayette County home values aren’t dropping precipitously with headlines like this.
Yeah, let’s give up on reasonable gun control and keep shooting each other. The Wild West returns.
Do you *really* think Mr Jelks popped into Autrey’s Armory, purchased his fire arm and filled out the paperwork …all nice and legal-like? As MsV wrote; gun control only controls law abiding people.
