4th Annual Junior Art Show
Submission Deadline: Thursday, February 29th, 2024

Peachtree City Library is sending out a call to all Junior Artists ages 1-12 to participate in our 4th Annual Junior Art Show. This year’s theme is “Dream in Art.” Create a flag using this year’s theme. The flag must be 8”x 10”x 2” or smaller. It can be created using fabric, yarn, drawing, sketch, coloring, or painting. Participants MUST print out an entry form using the link below or pick up an entry form at the Circulation Desk of Peachtree City Library. The artwork will be featured on the Storytime Window in the Children’s Department throughout March 2024. We will accept submissions at the Circulation Desk or by email to Cherese Cadet at ccadet@peachtree-city.org through Thursday, February 29, 2024. Voting begins March 2nd –23rd, 2024. Only one (1) entry per person. One (1) winner will be announced in each of the following categories: 2-4 years; 5-8 years; 9-12 years. Winners in each category will be announced March 30th, 2024. Weekly Beginning Spanish

Join Peachtree City Library staff for Beginning Spanish with Mango. Learn how to use Mango Languages as well as practice with other attendees for perfect pronunciation. Red Cross Blood Drive

Adult Spelling Bee
Saturday, February 3rd, 2024, 2:00pm-4:00pm—Floy Farr Room

On a scale of 1 to 10, how good of a speller are you? Join Peachtree City Library for our first ever Adult Spelling Bee. The Adult Spelling Bee will have three rounds of single-error elimination competition: Easy, Intermediate, and Advanced. Participants must register to compete. Spectators are welcome without registration. We will be awarding first, second and third place winners. This free event will be held in the Floy Farr Room on the lower level of the library. Mango Online Language Learning System Tutorial

Digital SAT Exam Explained

You’ve probably already heard that College Board will soon make the SAT digital starting Spring 2024. Join Dr. Jean M. DuPree as she answers all your questions about the new Digital SAT format. Topics covered: equipment needs and options, differentiated structure (different test difficulty depending on how well one is doing), ways to prepare (including free alternatives), and an introduction to the types of questions covered on the test. Jigsaw Puzzle Races

Puzzle lovers, this is for you! Your challenge is to complete a 500-piece puzzle in two (2) hours. See how fast you can finish. Come as a group or solo and join a group when you arrive. Learn Korean
Tuesdays starting February 13th, 2024, 6:00pm —Storytime Room

Come learn the basics of the Korean language and enjoy this popular cultural trend. Hosted by Sunny V., this event is free and open to the public. No experience necessary.  This is a 7-week class. Those interested MUST attend the first session to see what level they are on. No new attendees will be accepted after the first day of class. Registration is required. Chad Davidson: Book Talk & Signing

Chad Davidson is the author of four collections of poems and two memoirs, most recently Bring Out Your Dead: Elegies from the Plague Year (Louisiana State University Press, 2024). He directs the School of the Arts at the University of West Georgia and also co-directs Convivio, a summer arts and literary conference in Postignano, Italy. On site book sales provided by Hills & Hamlets Bookshop Serenbe. No registration required, this is a free drop-in event.
