A Fairburn man is in custody at the Fayette County Jail after fighting with family, medical professionals and law enforcement.

According to reports, it all began at a residence on Hillcrest Avenue where the man got into an altercation with his father. Officials believed the suspect was having some type of mental episode.

After doing some damage to the home, he fled in his father’s car and ultimately wrecked it at a different location. He then tried to escape on foot but deputies apprehended him not far from the vehicle.

He was transported to Piedmont Fayette Hospital where he had several altercations with doctors and nurses who were trying to treat him. He also fought with deputies at the hospital.

Dillan Bradley, 24, was charged with three felonies — aggravated assault, theft by taking, and criminal damage to property in the second degree, according to the jail log. Other charges included obstruction of an officer, reckless driving and simple assault.

Elsewhere in Fayette County, two people are in jail for allegedly taking part in a 2022 mortgage fraud scheme. Both were taken into custody last week.

Serena Washington, 45, of Houston, Tex., faces three counts of computer fraud and three counts of theft by deception, all felonies. Eric Styles, 50, of Marietta faces one count each of the same charges.

An FCSO spokesman said they are believed to have gained access to the computer system of an organization that handles mortgage payoffs and redirected payments to themselves.
