The Rising Starr Panthers are county middle school volleyball champions, capping off a perfect season with wins over Flat Rock and Booth in the final tournament.

The Panthers went undefeated and won every game in two sets, a remarkable feat for a full season. Including their 7th grade season, they have a 17-game winning streak.

The champions are Aftyn Heiden, Amelia Walter, Ava Andrews, Ava McDowell, Avery James, Ella Johnson, Ella Pauly, Ellie Smith, Hazel Foppe, Kasi Bartley, Keali Tumblin, Lindsay Spitznagle, Alexa Williams, and Maryn Peckham.

They are coached by Nicole Comeau and Megan McCamphill.

“Our girls are hard-working, honest, and have great court presence,” said Comeau. “They are resilient during long rallies and have beautiful chemistry.”
