Shoplifting and drug arrests were among the items on police reports in Fayetteville over the weekend.

Two unknown female suspects were reported to have snatched 60 candles worth a total of $1,437 from Bath & Body Works at Fayette Pavilion the evening of Aug. 11. Both would face a felony shoplifting charge (more than $500 taken) if arrested.

A separate incident resulted in an arrest at the scene. Police responded the evening of Aug. 10 to Target at Fayette Pavilion, where they detained someone who allegedly took $655 worth of various merchandise including household goods, apparel, and health and beauty products. The suspect also gave a false name to police, according to the report. Cosma Burks, 29, was charged accordingly.

Elsewhere in the Pavilion shopping complex, a suspect was stopped at the AT&T store and now faces felony drug charges. The report indicated that Evlio Nixon, 23, of Fayetteville had marijuana in a plastic bag in the center console of his car and also in a rolled blunt inside his pants. The officer also located Xanax, a Schedule IV drug, inside the vehicle for which the suspect could not provide a prescription.

A traffic stop Aug. 13 just before midnight on North Glynn Street resulted in a felony drug charge. The suspect was found to have marijuana as well as methenamine, a controlled substance, according to a police report. William Rhodes, 43, was arrested for possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and possession/manufacture/distribution of a controlled substance.
