American Sign Language Class:

Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023, 4:00pm—Readers & Writers Room

Learn the basics of American Sign Language with instructor Jasmine Godfrey. Topics include the alphabet, greetings/farewells, and basic vocabulary. This free, drop-in event is open to all ages. No registration required.

 

Don’t Waste Your Summers in High School — They Count Too!

Thursday, May 4th, 2023, 6:00pm —Readers & Writers Room

Summertime is the perfect time for high school students to get ahead of the competition by participating in activities and volunteering. With college applications becoming increasingly competitive, students must make the most of their summers. This workshop will discuss specific summertime ideas and perfect volunteering opportunities that will allow students to stand out and showcase their unique interests. Parents will learn what to encourage and discourage their teenagers from considering upcoming summer experiences. Don’t waste your summers in high school—they count too! Conversational Spanish:

Join the Peachtree City Library staff for conversational Spanish. Are you already learning Spanish? Come have a chat and practice your conversational skills. For ages 14+ and all skill levels. She will read a new fairy tale each month with a hidden objects coloring page. Watch the video and find the hidden objects or stop by the library to get your own copy of the coloring page. Join other crafters for open crochet time. Bring your current project. Ages 18+.  This is a drop-in event, no registration required.

 

Jigsaw Puzzle Swap:

The Peachtree City Library is hosting a family friendly puzzle swap. Bring your favorite jigsaw puzzle to swap and meet-up. Work on a puzzle together or alone. All ages welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult. This is a free, drop-in event, no registration required.

Join Peachtree City Library for a new film series “Based on the Book,” viewing films of new and classic titles. May’s film is Unbroken (2014).
