Touch-a-truck teaches Spring Hill about jobs

The Batmobile was about the only one missing as local heroes brought their work vehicles to show and tell at Spring Hill Elementary.

The touch-a-truck event helped expose the young Suns to the many different jobs and vehicles that help make our town go. There were moving trucks, fire trucks, law enforcement vehicles, and heavy duty equipment from county public works. There was a bucket truck Georgia Power uses to help restore power during storms and a vehicle for an insurance agent.

Students got to learn about new jobs and how the vehicles help make them possible, like the FedEx truck whose driver was on the road every day as an essential worker delivering medicine during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Of course, the ice cream truck was a popular stop as the students got to sample some sweet frozen treats!
