3rd Annual Junior Art Show:

Submission Deadline: February 1st-28th, 2023
It’s Junior Art Show time again! Peachtree City Library is sending out a call to all Junior Artists ages 1-13 to participate in our 3rd Annual Junior Art Show. This year’s theme is “Be Kind.” The artwork can be a drawing, sketch, coloring, or painting. Participants must print out our template or pick up one at the Circulation Desk at the Peachtree City Library to be entered into the show. The artwork will be featured on the Storytime Window in the Children’s Department throughout March 2023. Every artist will receive a treat just for participating. We will accept paper submissions at the Circulation Desk or by email to Cherese Cadet at [email protected] through Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
John Cribb Book Talk & Signing:
Thursday, February 2nd, 2023, 1:00pm—Floy Farr Room
Join the Peachtree City Library for a book talk and signing with celebrated author John Cribb. The Rail Splitter: A Novel by John Cribb tells the story of Abraham Lincoln’s remarkable journey from a log cabin to the threshold of the White House—a journey that turns him into one of America’s most beloved heroes. On site book sales will be available courtesy of Book Miser. This is a drop-in event, no registration required. This event will be held in person at Peachtree City Floy Farr Room on the lower level of the library.
Conversational Spanish:
Thursdays starting February 2nd, 2023, 6:00pm —Theater Room
Join the Peachtree City Library staff for conversational Spanish. Are you already learning Spanish? Come have a chat and practice your conversational skills. For ages 14+ and all skill levels. No previous experience necessary. This is a drop-in event, no registration required.
Tabletop Games for Adults:

Join Linda B. for an Excel Beginner Level I class. Participants must know how to use a computer, open and save an Excel file. The class with be using Excel 2016. Fairy Tales Read & Find:

Red Cross Blood Drive:

The Blood Drive will be held in the lower level of the Peachtree City Library in the Floy Farr Room. Please use the lower-level entrance.

Many of the most popular films created since the invention of the moving picture were based on books. Join Peachtree City Library for a new film series “Based on the Book,” viewing films of new and classic titles. February’s film is Must Love Dogs (2005). Neurographic Art:

Neurographic art–a therapeutic art technique–is a simple way to transform stress into a beautiful work of art by drawing freeform lines using watercolor paints, markers and pencils.
