A Newnan man is paying the price for attempting to strangle his girlfriend at her residence in Peachtree City. That price got even higher when he shoved the woman’s child across the bed while trying to get to the mother.
The incident resulted in 22-year-old Richard S. Taylor being charged with aggravated assault and third-degree cruelty to children, according to Fayette County Jail records.
Peachtree City police on Sept. 23 at approximately 4:25 p.m. responded to the incident that occurred at an apartment on Stevens Entry.
Peachtree City Police Department spokesman Chris Hyatt said officers determined that Taylor attempted to strangle his girlfriend in front of her child.
It was during the incident that Taylor threw the child across the bed in order to move the child away to be able to get to his girlfriend, Hyatt said.
In a separate incident in Peachtree City, 22-year-old Mary Valli on Sept. 25 was charged with burglary and misdemeanor theft by taking in incidents that occurred on Oct. 8 in the area of Southern Shore Drive off Kedron Drive.
Hyatt said a doorbell camera had recorded Valli going through mail on the porch of one of the residences.
Valli was charged with going through mailboxes and entering garages of homes in the area, Hyatt noted.
Wonder if Mr. Taylor observed this at home growing up?
You are as predictable as a clock.
Likely as accurate as one too.
Domestic violence is a learned behavior, and typically generational. It takes considerable effort to break the cycle.
The crimes are predictable, too.
I just shine a light on it and share my shallow thought process.
Seems its overall young men doing this type of behavior.
