Meteorologist Nicole Hartford gave the Knights a day to remember, talking weather with 1st-grade students at Kedron Elementary.

The school reached out to 11Alive to see if they offered any field trips to enhance their science curriculum, and the station did them one better. Hartford arrived in the 11Alive weather truck that is equipped with radar and a camera to capture real-time weather conditions. She talked about types of precipitation and patterns in weather forecasting, and she answered lots and lots of questions about tornados from the curious students.

Students even got a chance to sit in the Storm Trackers Thunderstruck and see all of the cameras and buttons for themselves.
