A fire in Tyrone on April 20 resulted in a total loss of the former residence being used as office space by a trucking company.

Fayette County EMA Director Mike Singleton said the fire at 600 Castlewood Road near Senoia Road was reported by a passer-by at approximately 1 a.m., and involved a former residence being used as office space for a trucking company.

Singleton said there are other structures on the property, though the fire was contained to the unoccupied house.

The fire resulted in a complete loss of that structure, Singleton said.

Singleton added that the cause of the fire is under investigation.

A total of five stations responded to the blaze, Singleton noted, adding that there were no injuries to firefighters.
