A Fayette County man is in jail following an April 9 incident during which he shot a man at their Tyrone Road residence while in an argument over a cell phone, according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.
Santos Gonzalez Ramirez, 37, was charged with aggravated assault, according to Fayette County Jail records.
Sheriff Barry Babb said deputies responded to the residence at 324 Tyrone Road, finding a man shot in the chest following an argument with another man.
Babb said two men lived at the home, and had been involved in an argument over a work cell phone.
At one point, while in the yard near a truck, Ramirez shot the man in the chest, Babb said.
The injured man was conscious and alert when he was transported to Grady Hospital, Babb noted.
