County students wow at tech competition

Students from all around the county showed off their tech savvy to the rest of the region. At the West Georgia Technology Competition, eight Fayette schools were represented on the list of first-place winners.

Winners from McIntosh High were Evan Johnson and Alex High (3D Modeling), Mark Van Zyl (Device Modification), Mohamed Ali Mokri and Kaden Korn (Device Modification), Sana Chitalwala and Aspen Heist (Video Production).

Winners from Starr’s Mill High were Luke Walters (Digital Photo Production) and Logan Walters and Brady Bowers (Multimedia Applications).

Winners from Flat Rock Middle were Julia Vanderwalker and Maliah Walters (Digital Photo Production), Dua Meghani (Internet Applications), and Yashwin Ramesh-Babu (Mobile Apps).

Winners from Rising Starr Middle were Parth Mahajan (Device Modification) and Vaughn Kerrane (Project Programming).

Winners from Inman Elementary were Julianna Vick (Graphic Design) and Emily Bauer and Brailey Reynolds (Mobile Apps).

Winners from Oak Grove Elementary were Davis Henry and Ben Collins (Device Modification), Cara Greenberg and Angelica Bacigalupo (Internet Applications), Risha Naidu (Mobile Apps), and Matthew Smith and Asahi Sanchez (Project Programming).

Winners from Peachtree City Elementary were Gianna Smith (Audio Production), Sri Vishaka Senthilnathan (Device Modification), Yide Dong and Parks Richardson (Digital Game Design), and Mridula Gokul (Multimedia Applications).

Winners from Peeples Elementary were Grace Darby (Internet Applications) and Aakash Bojanki (Robotics).

The West Georgia Technology Competition is an annual technology competition for students in the West Georgia region of the state. The competition is open to students who attend public schools, private schools, and home schools in Fayette County, Carroll County, Carrollton City, Coweta County, Heard County, Meriwether County, and Troup County
