0Fayetteville Elementary is eager to make their own history, and they look to the example of the greats that came before them. Recently the school got a lesson on the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African American pilots to fly in combat during WWII.
In support of social studies standards, 5th grade classes scheduled a visit from the Traveling Trunk Exhibit on the Tuskegee Airmen. The displays, on loan from Kennesaw State University, offered engaging learning activities connected to studies of World War II.
