Substitute teach on college break

Do you know of college students who are at least 21 years of age and looking for a way to earn extra income during their breaks? Substitute teaching may be the answer!

Substitute teaching is a great way to earn income while having the flexibility of choosing your work days. You can even choose the schools where you want to sub!

The application process is not difficult, but you do need to complete an online application.

• Go to www.fcboe.org

• Click on Position Openings (right hand side under Quick Links)

• Choose Start an eApp for Employment

• Complete the application and choose the Substitute Teacher job.

• Attach a Letter of Interest

• Attach a Current Resume

• Provide the contact information for Three References. At least one reference must be a supervisor or someone who can attest to your work ethic

You will be required to attend a three-hour onboarding session on Wednesday, December 8 which is required by the state. At the onboarding session you will complete paperwork and learn about how to use Aesop/SubFinder as a substitute teacher.

Prior to becoming a substitute, Human Resources will schedule an appointment for you to be fingerprinted. There is a cost of $45.81 for the fingerprinting.

You need to substitute only six full days per semester to remain active on the substitute teaching list.
