The Oak Grove Braves know how to take a bite out of learning. Karen Eller’s 5th grade class built cell models, then ate them!

Students created a plant and animal cell model using cookies and candies, with each piece of candy representing a different organelle. They talked about how some organelles are found in both cells, while others are just in plant cells. They also took pictures of the cells so they can create a presentation where they label each organelle. Once they finished the final product, students will have created a cell model, labeled it, and compared one cell to another.
