A Griffin man lost his life in an Oct. 26 traffic accident on Fayetteville’s south side after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a pickup truck.
Fayetteville Police Department spokesperson Ann Marie Burdett said officers on Oct. 26 responded to a motor vehicle collision in the intersection of Ga. Highway 92 Connector and Helen Sams Parkway involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle.
“The rider of the motorcycle, a 24-year-old male from Griffin, was transported to Piedmont Fayette Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, “said Burdett.
Burdett said a 69-year-old female from Fayetteville was also transported to Piedmont Fayetteville Hospital with minor injuries.
The Fayetteville Police Department Traffic Accident Investigation Unit responded to the scene and is currently investigating the cause of the accident, said Burdett.
The accident is under active investigation. More details will be released as they become available, Burdett added.
