There was a big turnout in the little town of Brooks on Dec. 6 for the arrival of Santa, the lighting of the Christmas tree and plenty of activities at the Brooks Christmas Market.
Santa arrived by fire truck at 5 p.m. to a large number of families who had made their way from the nearby Brooks Christmas Market, and then to the Brooks Chapel for a round of Christmas songs led by Carlotta Ungaro.
Santa’s arrival signaled the lighting of the Christmas tree on the chapel lawn, and followed opening remarks by Mayor Dan Langford and Councilman Scott Israel.
Once settled inside the chapel, Santa heard the Christmas wishes from the youngsters, all of whom were sure to practice a good social distance.
