Fayette resident Mark Wallace Maguire, a Georgia Author of The Year nominee and Independent Author of The Year finalist, has published his seventh book, “The Last Wizard at the End of the World.”
A Young Adult Fantasy novel, the book is action packed and written with lyrical prose, drawing comparisons to the novels of C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien and Lloyd Alexander. The novel is a sequel to his 2018 book, “In Pursuit of The Pale Prince.”
Throughout the pandemic Maguire has remained connected with the community through a variety of virtual events including Hometown Novel Nights sponsored by the Newnan Carnegie Library; teaching a virtual class with the Fayette Library; part of the Peachtree City Library virtual author expo; and a reading an interview with L.A.-based BookFest 2020.
“It’s been really inspiring to see how so many people in the literary community — near and far — have been determined to stay connected this year,” he said. “I hope we can keep up our sense of community as we emerge from these times and see each other again.”
The book is available on amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, the Newnan Carnegie Library and at select retailers in metro Atlanta.
