An investigation into the misappropriation of the funds of an elderly family member led to the July 6 arrest of a Peachtree City man.

Kenneth W. Curran, 54, was charged with misappropriating the financial resources of a family member over age 65, according to Peachtree City Police Department spokesman Chris Hyatt.

Hyatt said the investigation pertaining to possible elder exploitation was initiated in November 2018.

The investigation led to Curran’s arrest for misappropriating an elderly family member’s financial resources, having been engaged in that activity for more than two years, said Hyatt.

Hyatt said the investigation is ongoing in regard to other suspects that might have been involved in similar activity with the same victim.

While at Curran’s residence wrapping up that portion of the investigation, detectives found that another resident of the home, 34-year-old Frances A. Robards, was in possession of methamphetamine. Robards was charged at the scene, Hyatt said.

Also at the residence, Robards told investigators that a former roommate, 35-year-old Crystal Glaze, had taken her car several weeks earlier and had not returned it.

Investigators located Glaze at an extended stay hotel in Jonesboro, charging her with vehicle theft.
