William A. Schreyer, age 92, of Peachtree City passed away on April 15, 2020. Mr. Schreyer retired from Blue Plate Foods/Hunt Wesson Foods as a chemist and manager. He also worked as Food & Beverage Manager at Canongate on White Oak in Newnan, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Schreyer and Vinnetta M. Schreyer of Asheville, North Carolina and his seven siblings, Elva Schreyer Moore, George Schreyer, Jim Schreyer, Ruth Schreyer Pennington, Josephine Schreyer Graham, and Margaret Schreyer Griffin.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley L. Schreyer; his children, Kim Whitney and her husband, Tom Whitney of Sharpsburg, Georgia, Cindy Schreyer of West Hartford, Connecticut, Dave Schreyer of Montgomery, Alabama; and his two grandchildren, Blake Whitney and Chris Whitney.
A private graveside service will be held at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City, Georgia on April 21, 2020. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Dogwood Church at 975 Highway 74 North, Tyrone, GA 30290 or the American Heart Association at heart.org.
