Fayette County government offices, following an April 8 announcement from Gov. Brian Kemp, will be closed to the public until May 13 due to ongoing concerns with COVID-19.
Noting Kemp’s April 8 announcement to extend Georgia’s public health state of emergency for another month through May 13, Fayette County Administrator Steve Rapson said county offices will be closed to the public until May 13 out of an abundance of caution.
Fayette County staff will continue to report to work and conduct business as usual to ensure county services remain operational. This public closure is designed to limit social contact, said Rapson.
“We will continue to operate under the teleworking plan, which is working marvelously to date,” said Rapson. “We ask our residents to contact us via phone, email or our website to keep any exposure to a minimum.”
