A recent study showed that Fayette County ranks No. 2 out of Georgia’s 159 counties for making the most charitable donations.
Financial technology company SmartAsset reviewed IRS data to find the places where residents were giving the most.
The study measured how much people donate as a percentage of their net income and the proportion of people in a given county who make charitable donations. Fayette County ranked among the most charitable in Georgia, according to SmartAsset.
Of Georgia’s 159 counties Fayette ranked No. 2 on the list, with Coweta ranking No. 10.
The Top 10 most generous counties were: Oconee, Fayette, Greene, Forsyth, Fulton, Cobb, Harris, Henry, Morgan and Coweta.
