Brewer-Clark early voting gets underway Nov. 19

Early voting for the Dec. 3 Fayetteville City Council Post 2 runoff election between incumbent Kathaleen Brewer and city Planning Commissioner Joe Clark will begin on Nov. 19.

Brewer came in second with 470 votes (29%) while Clark led the 4-person field with 506 votes (31%) in the Nov. 5 municipal election, putting both in the runoff.

Elections Supervisor Floyd Jones said advanced (in-person) voting for registered voters who reside within the city limits of Fayetteville will be held at the elections office at the county complex in downtown Fayetteville on Nov. 19-22 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Nov. 25-27 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Polling locations for the Dec. 3 runoff will be at the Lafayette Education Center at 205 Lafayette Avenue for Precinct 40A and at the Fayette County Library at 1821 Heritage Parkway for Precinct 40B. The polls will be open on Dec. 3 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
