Weekly Face-to-face meetings begin October 18

The library is hosting Fayette County Face-to-Face in a weekly four-part series this year starting Friday, October 18 through November 8, 2019.

Starting at 9:00 a.m., this free event will be open to the public and feature presentations from different departments and allow time for questions from the audience.

“This face-to-face forum will open up new thinking and create dynamic relationships among the 27 departments, the school system, the city, and this great community,” Steve Rapson, county manager, said.

Each week will highlight a series of departments by function, but the library hopes the public will plan to attend the entire series to gain a full understanding of the functionality of the departments maintaining Fayette County Government.

Below is a list of departments presenting during the weekly series:

(All events begin at 9:00 a.m.)

October 18 – Administration: County Clerk’s Office, Property Tax and Auto Tag, Finance, Planning & Zoning, Human Resources, Purchasing, and Information Technology.

This is the seventh year the library is hosting Fayette County Face to Face for the citizens of Fayette County.

This annual event promotes greater awareness between the government and the residents, allows for an exchange of ideas and provides an opportunity for citizens to have direct access to Fayette’s officials. This weekly event will begin at 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. and coffee and light refreshments will be served.

All events will be held in the Community Room at the Fayette County Public Library, 1821 Heritage Park Way, Fayetteville, GA 30214. Please call (770) 461-8841 for more information.
