Brightmoor Hospice grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for first responders on Sept. 11 as a way of saying thank you. The event was held at the American Legion Post 105 Log Cabin on Ga. Highway 85 South in Fayetteville.

“We wanted to give back to the community, to first responders, and to have a presence in the community,” said Brightmoor Community Outreach Coordinator Dana Samples.

Music and door prizes were part of the celebration honoring the hometown heroes.
Located in Griffin, Brightmoor Hospice has a 50-mile service area, which includes patients and services in Fayette County.
