Fayette Senior Services, Inc. (FSS), a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, is hosting their 5th annual Volunteer Expo. on Wednesday, September 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The goal is to connect eager potential volunteers with an organization best fit for their unique schedules, skill sets, and passions.
The event will be held at the Life Enrichment Center, 4 Center Drive, Fayetteville.
The event gives a variety of community-based organizations a platform to showcase their volunteer opportunities in an efficient and engaging way.
“Volunteers are so essential to what we do at Fayette Senior Services, and we truly understand the value that these selfless individuals give day in and day out,” Carrie Bittinger, Volunteer Coordinator for FSS, shares. “The Volunteer Expo is a great way to show people in our community the volunteer opportunities that are available at FSS and other great organizations and connect them in a way so they can give back!”
Fayette Senior Services expresses a huge amount of gratitude for the amazing volunteers who facilitate their work and hopes to connect other organizations around Fayette County with people willing and able to donate their time and effort. Likewise, the organization hopes that the expo will inspire individuals around the county to come and learn about the great work taking place in our community and find a cause that resonates with them.
While participation for vendors is free, space is limited and will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis. A representative from each organization must be present at the event to speak with prospective volunteers.
