Mrs. Vara Matthews Corley of Tyrone passed away June 1, 2019. She was born in Rome, Ga. to Grady N. and Lottie Matthews.
Mrs. Corley retired as a civilian employee from Ft. McPherson after 30(+) years of employment.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reid Clifton (R.C.) Corley, Jr and son, David Corley and is survived by her daughters, Debbie Manous and her husband Ken of Fayetteville; Laurie Thompson and her husband Wesley of Tyrone; sister, Alice Davis of Social Circle; grandchildren, Erin Fenton and her husband Adam; Kevin Manous and his wife Charity; Sydney Smith and her husband Michael; Madison Thompson; great grandchildren, Charlie, Lydia, Audrey, George, and Henry Fenton and Gabriel, Abigail, and Gloria Manous.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
