A Fayetteville man on May 20 was charged with child molestation and several drug offenses.
Brandon J. Lanford, 32, was charged with child molestation, possession/manufacture/sale of drugs, three Schedule I controlled substance violations and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime, according to Fayette County Jail records.
Fayetteville Police Department spokesperson Ann Marie Burdett said Lanford turned himself in on May 20 in connection with outstanding warrants.
Burdett said the child molestation charge stemmed from August 2013, based on information provided by the victim.
