Klaus Eberhard Schoeffler, 84, of Peachtree City passed away April 24, 2019.

Klaus was born in Chemnitz, Germany on January 24, 1935 to the late Arthur and Johanne Schoeffler.   It was his knowledge of textile engineering that allowed him to immigrate to America, at the age of 22 and he was then drafted into the US Army.   It was during his service in the army that he met his wife, Mary Ellen. They lived in Delaware, prior to moving to Peachtree City 36 years ago.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara Vodermeier.   He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Ellen Schoeffler; sister, Regina Penzkofer; sons, Nick (Paula) Schoeffler and Dr. Andre (Piba) Schoeffler; daughter, Monique (Jim) Cook; grandchildren, Caroline Schoeffler, Brady Schoeffler, Katie Schoeffler, Tory Schoeffler, Ansley (Brad) Ewton, Hayden (Natalie) Schoeffler,   Elise Schoeffler, Julia Schoeffler, Reid Schoeffler, Cassidy Cook, Kaylee Cook, Kendall Cook, and Chandler Cook.

A funeral service was held Monday, April 29, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church, officiated by Reverend Dr. Tim Gwin.
