A Dec. 24 traffic accident at Ga. Highway 92 South and the Ga. Highway 92 Connector during the morning hours in Fayetteville left the drivers of the two vehicles with non-life-threatening injuries.

Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Chad Myers said a Fayetteville resident driving a Mazda SUV turned left onto the Hwy. 92 Connector in front of a Dodge Durango driven by another Fayetteville resident who was traveling southbound on Hwy. 92 South.

The SUV turned on its side in the intersection and the driver had to be extricated because he was unable to free himself from his seatbelt, Myers said.

The drivers of the two vehicles were the only occupants. Both sustained non-life-threatening injuries, said Myers.

Myers said the driver of the Mazda was cited for failure to yield.
