Charles William Whitfield, 61, of Fayetteville passed away December 8, 2018. Charles was born on October 10, 1957 in Atlanta, Ga. to the late Dorris and Hildah Whitfield. He graduated in 1975 from Forest Park High School and went on to have a long career in the residential construction business. Charles loved music, especially southern rock. He also liked to fish and ride motorcycles.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Heather (Parrish) Roberson of Tucker, Ga.; sons, Justin Whitfield (Natasha Cochran) of Senoia, Ga. and Marcus Whitfield of Petal, Miss.; grandchildren, Hayden Roberson, Alexis Whitfield, Gage Whitfield, Chastity Cochran, Caleb Cochran, Owen Whitfield and Robyn Whitfield; brothers, Dennis (Linda) Whitfield, Steven (Donna) Whitfield, and Jeff Whitfield; sister, Karen (Jeff) Spangler; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 1 – 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
