Claud Henry Sagon, 85, of Fayetteville passed away November 23, 2018. He was born in Atlanta, Ga. on December 13, 1932 to the late Jack and Ara Sagon.
Claud was a self made entrepeneur that built Sagon Motorhomes. He loved to stay busy, especially with welding and building things, as well as playing golf. Claud was active at Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church and New Hope Baptist Church.
Claud was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Gail Sagon and son, Kevin Sagon.
He is survived by his sons, Craig (Brigitte) Sagon of Fayetteville, Heath (Brenda) Sagon of Fayetteville, grandson/son, Trevor Sagon of Jackson, Ga., and Keith (Wendelen) Sagon of Orlando, Fla.; daughter, Chere (Fred) Mortensen of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Zoe, Cole, Devon, and Mariah Sagon, Marlee Brook, and Dustin Mortensen; great-granddaughter, Khloe Brook; brother, Paul (Joyce) Sagon; sister-in-law, Marion (Manson) Flynn; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Rev. Dennis Watson and Dr. Hugh Kirby officiating. Burial followed at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. The family received friends on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
