Last month, 11,062 senior athletes from 32 countries converged on Saint George, Utah to participate in the 2018 Huntsman World Senior Games, the largest annual multi-sport event in the world for athletes 50 or better.

This year 30 different sports were offered. Softball (360 teams), pickleball, volleyball (218 teams), and track and field had the greatest number of participants.  The oldest participant was a 96-year-old bowler from California.

Peachtree City resident Dr. Robert Puddy, pictured above, tied for first place in the shot put and also earned bronze medals in the discus and javelin competing in the 75-79 age bracket.
