It has been a very very long time since The Citizen has heard from me but some subjects just cause my head to explode.
The federal government will not legalize the transport of medical marijuana across state lines until the pharmaceutical companies find a way to put it into a tablet or capsule and market it in a bottle with an Rx label glued on.
Most of us recognize this even if we don’t say it out loud.
What a tragedy when parents have to risk a felony charge to help their children, a Parkinsons sufferer must choose to move to a different state to ease their symptoms or a chronic pain individual must decide whether to “take the pain” or possibly become dependent upon opioids for relief.
It is quite easy to say, “no, no, no” to cannabis use when one is healthy. We need to speak up for the individuals who are not.
