Mrs. Terri “Dee Dee” Lynn Kellerman, age 58, of Fayetteville, passed away September 17, 2018.
Terri was born January 17, 1960 in Jersey City, N.J., to Royal and Virginia Westerfield. She spent most of her childhood in Jersey City and few years in Louisiana, alongside her sister and two brothers. Terri graduated from Middlesex High School in Middlesex, N.J. in 1978. She then attended Louisiana State University for two years before transferring to Georgia State University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Medical Technology in 1984.
In 1981, Terri married her high school sweetheart, Ken Kellerman. The couple settled in Fayetteville in 1984 and had three sons. Terri used her education and training to become a Medical Technologist, working at Clayton General Hospital and Piedmont Fayette Hospital. She then went into the Real Estate business and sold homes for 23 years.
Terri was an exceptional cook. She specialized in Cajun food and her husband’s favorite dish, lasagna. She was an extraordinary hostesses who always had an open home for friends and family. Terri showed her love by feeding those around her, always having appetizers ready for her children and their friends. She enjoyed traveling, particularly to the Western United States. She spent these trips taking in the beauty of her favorite vacation spot, Yellowstone National Park, and trying her best to ski, however unsuccessfully. Although she lived in Georgia, her heart was out West. She also enjoyed the beach at St George’s Island, where the entire Kellerman family would gather together for family fun.
Terri was a faithful Christian and long-time member of Christ Church at Whitewater in Fayetteville, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother (Dee Dee) with a giving spirit.
Terri was preceded in death by her mother: Virginia Duthaler Westerfield. She is survived by her loving husband: Ken Kellerman of Fayetteville; sons: Matthew Kellerman of Peachtree City, Patrick (Torie) Kellerman of Carthadge, N.C., and Kenny Kellerman of Fayetteville; grandchildren: McKenzie, Madison, Alexis, Sophia, Levi and Karson; father: Royal (Pepe) Westerfield of Fayetteville; sister and brothers: Nancy (Val) Harrison of Canada, Bob (Carmen) Westerfield of The Rock, and Royal (Donna) Westerfield of Zebulon; loyal canine companion: Cutie Pie.
A memorial service was held for Terri on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Christ Church at Whitewater 1577 GA 85 South, Fayetteville. The Kellerman family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 1086 Hwy 54 West, Fayetteville.
