Peachtree City Thursday night agreed to Pulte Homes Corporation’s request to lift the multi-family rezoning moratorium for a possible townhome element for the still-developing Everton community.

The Everton subdivision is located in Wilksmoor Village. Existing land uses adjacent to and in the immediate area are predominately single-family residential. The subdivision is bound to the west by unincorporated Coweta County; and to the north by the Cresswind subdivision.

It is bordered on the east by the CSX Railroad line; and to the south by undeveloped property and the Wynnmeade and Centennial subdivisions.

Everton no longer plans to have a commercial component in the community, and would use the 5.1 acres for the potential townhomes. If the developer goes ahead with the townhome plan, the property would still have to be rezoned.
