The awards are given annually by the Chamber’s national association, the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and recognize fresh and innovative marketing and communications work by chambers of commerce. Reviewed and chosen by five marketing and communications leaders across the nation, more than 150 entries were up for award consideration.

Produced in partnership with The Citizen and Fayette Woman magazine, Fayette Community Source is the Chamber’s quality-of-life magazine and go-to guide for residents, visitors and newcomers. Its pages highlight the people, places and opportunities that make Fayette County a unique and wonderful place to live and do business.

The 2017 Chamber Accomplishments video was produced by Malt Maker Media and highlights Chamber successes in 2017. The video showcases Chamber connections made that led to the creation of Night Market Peachtree City, advocacy efforts resulting in the passage of SPLOST in March 2017 and ESPLOST in November 2017, and business and community engagement that supports workforce development and talent attraction. The video premiered to members at the 2018 Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon in January.

“It is a privilege to collaborate with member partners, The Citizen/Fayette Woman and Malt Maker Media, and we celebrate their exceptional work. The Fayette Community Source and the Chamber Accomplishments video are both remarkable communications pieces that promote our community to Chamber members as well as residents and visitors,” said Kimberly Schnoes, Fayette Chamber interim president and CEO. “It’s an honor to be recognized for communications excellence by our Chamber peers nationwide.”

The Chamber’s Awards of Excellence will be announced at the annual Association of Chamber of Commerce Executive’s international conference being held in Des Moines, Iowa in July.
