Mrs. Mary Jean Snyder, 94, of Fayetteville, Ga. died on April 25, 2018 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Berea, Ohio to Albert and Ivy Lynch. All of her life she was better known as “Jean.” She was a resident of Fayette County for the past 15 years. She lived most of her life in a small rural town, Beaver, Pa. She married her first husband, Walter Miller at the age of 19. They had 4 daughters. Walter Miller died at the early age of 38 and Jean later married ARCH Snyder and gained 2 step-daughters. She loved her family of “girls.” In her younger years, Jean loved to water ski, ride horses and ride a motorcycle. Her favorite pastime was planting and growing a vegetable garden and sharing her homegrown produce with her family, neighbors and friends. She loved her cats and her current 20 pound feline Charlie slept next to her in bed every night.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her daughter Kate who died in 2007; and her 2 brothers.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Judie (Bob) Fix, Pompano Beach, Fla.; Nancy (Bob) McDonald, Beaver, Pa.; Christy (Fred) Dunkelberger, Peachtree City, Ga.; Denette (Bob) Orr, Beaver, Pa.; Bonnie (Ron) Fields, Scottsdale, AZ; six grandchildren, Robbie Aeschbacher, Bonnie Glasford, Christopher Miller, Thomas Mihm, Rachel Mihm, and Rebecca Mihm; and six great grandchildren, Patricia and Taylor Mihm, Zoe Miller, Brandon Glasford, Tyler and Kristina Aeschbacher.
Memorial services were at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Evergreen Church, 400 Windgate Road, Peachtree City, Ga. 30269 with Rev. Don Feuerbach officiating. A reception at the church followed the memorial services. Burial will be at a later date in Beaver, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Evergreen Church.
