Clauda Edwina Hamilton Cook, 68, of Fayetteville passed away April 27, 2018. Clauda was born in Atlanta on November 18, 1949.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward M. Hamilton and Clauda V. Cox (Hamilton) and brothers, Richard and Cary Hamilton.
She is survived by husband, Robert J. Cook; son: Robert E.H. (Candace) Cook; daughter: Shantyl Stevens; grandchildren: Cameron, Dylan and Bailey Cook; granddaughter Jadeyn Stevens.
Clauda (Edwina) Cook was homecoming queen for Fayette County High, class of 1967. She earned an associate business degree, served as a legal assistant, substitute teacher for Clayton County, softball coach in Clayton County, cheerleading coach, and team mom for youth football in Fayette County. She also served as a Drug and Awareness Counselor for Clayton County, avid Sunday school teacher, devout Christian, dedicated spouse, mother, and grandmother.
A celebration of life service was held Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Providence United Methodist Church. The family received visitors on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City.
