Floyd Jewell Jones, 78, of Lithonia passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. He was born in Griffin, Ga. on December 5, 1939 to the late Jewell and Annie Jones. He was employed by Thienson’s Market. Floyd was a faithful member of Arnco Baptist Church.
Floyd is survived by his daughter, Debbie Powell; his granddaughter, Allisa Powell; his brother, Samuel Jones; his sister, Frances Gearin and June Shuler, and also several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service was held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville Chapel. Burial followed at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville, Ga. The family received friends on Thursday evening, April 19, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
