Ruth Wages Bray, 86, of Jonesboro, passed away March 8, 2018.
Ruth was a very religious person and was a member of North Fayette United Methodist Church. She loved gardening, flowers and decorating, but her biggest passion was rescuing animals.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, James and Zelma Wages; sister, Mildred Rowe; and brother, James Wages.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Joe Bray; daughter, Bridget Richardson of Arizona; son, Michael Redmond of Florida; sisters, Maydell (Kenneth) Rutledge of Tyrone, Ga. and Dessie Cannon of Hapeville, Ga.; niece, Darlene (Wayne) Estes of Newnan, Ga.; three stepsons; one stepdaughter; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 12 p.m. in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Rev. Josh Saefkow and Rev. Bill Preister officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Fayette County Humane Society, www.fayettehumane.org.
