Distracted FBI dropped the ball on shooter tips

The FBI received not one, not two, not three … but five credible tips about Nikolas Cruz’s intention to shoot up the Parkland, Fla., high school. The tips were not communicated to the FBI Miami field office.

The hypothesis from Tim Clements, a retired FBI Counterintelligence Agent and others, is that the FBI and DOJ are using too many of their resources chasing Russians trying to prove Trump campaign collusion. To no one’s surprise.

The FBI and DOJ have blood on their hands. They are complicit in the deaths of 17 at the Parkland High School. Florida Gov. Rick Scott called for the firing of FBI Director Christopher Wray. Since FBI and DOJ assets and millions of dollars have been tied up in Robert Mueller’s spurious investigation, he and his cohort should get the boot too.

Apologies, trite “learning experience,” “we dropped the ball” and “ it won’t happen again” statements ring shallow. A congressional investigation, many other firings and criminal indictments are in order, with stiff jail sentences to follow.

At the very least anticipate civil negligence lawsuits to be filed by the parents of those slaughtered.
