Shirley Ann Dettmering, 70, of Fayetteville passed away on Friday evening, February 16, 2018. She was born on January 8, 1948 in Brunswick, Ga. to the late J. W. and Gladys Cole. Shirley attended Fayette County High School. She was retired from Eckerd’s/Rite Aid after over 20 years. Her family was the love of her life, especially her precious grandchildren. She devoted her life to them and will be greatly missed by her family and friends who knew and loved her.
Shirley is survived by her husband of almost 53 years, Tommy Dettmering of Fayetteville; her sons, Tommy (Jamie) Dettmering, Jr. and Jason (Sonya) Dettmering; and her grandchildren, Elise, Cole, Riley, MaKenna and Parker.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in the Chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Pastor John Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Monday evening, February 19, 2018.
