Jane Collins Stephens, age 82, formerly of Orange Park, Fla., died at Newnan Health and Rehabilitation in the company of loved ones on Friday, February 9, 2018.
Jane was born on January 6, 1936 in Gadsden, Ala. to the late Frank and Annie Jo Collins. After graduating high school, she attended Jacksonville State University where she met Ralph H. Stephens of Columbus, Ga. They married July 6, 1956.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Cindy Stephens Tucker of Peachtree City, Ga.; her son, Ralph “Tank” Stephens, Jr. of Lumberton, Texas; sister, Pam Mayblum of Baltimore, Md.; her grandchildren Emily Tucker McKay of Peachtree City, Ga., Katherine Tucker of Daejeon, South Korea, and Alex Caruso of Houston, Texas; her great-grandchildren Cameron, Carter, and Caroline McKay.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ralph, and brothers, Robbie and Danny Collins, both of Madera, California.
There will be a private family committal at a future date at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, Orange Park, Fla.
The family wishes to extend deep gratitude to the caregivers at Newnan Health and Rehabilitation in Newnan, Georgia and Affinis Hospice Care.
