Helen H. Walthall, 98, of Fayetteville, passed away December 2, 2017. She was born on May 4, 1919 to the late Percy Lamar and Noma Mahle Huie, Sr.
Helen resided in both Fulton and Fayette counties, and was employed by the Kroger Company for many years. She was a long time member of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward Walthall, Jr.; parents, Percy Lamar and Noma Huie, Sr.; brother, Percy Lamar Huie, Jr.; sister, Melba Huie Mahle; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Mathis Walthall.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Gloria W. (Richard) Miller of Sharpsburg; sons, Joe Walthall, III of Cumming and Bob (Jean) Walthall of Tallahassee; sister, Bettie Huie Smith of Peachtree City; grandchildren, Melanie Walthall, Judy (Tracy) Ireland, Laura (Jason) Kempf, Emily (Don) Krapohl, Bo (Jo) Walthall, Lane (Blanding) Beatty, and Jonathan Miller; twelve great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 12 on December 6, 2017 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park.
